Breakfast is just the beginning!

Being a small bed and breakfast owned by a French trained chef has it's benefits.  We can customize our breakfast offerings to suit your needs and your desires.  Don't expect the ordinary. Our sausage, breads and baked goods are made in house and our eggs are from a local farm in Cedar.  In season, most vegetables come from our garden or from the local farmers' market.  The French press coffee is roasted in Port Alberni, the salt drawn from Cowichan Bay and the tea blended in North Cowichan.

Chef Shayne loves to cook and would be pleased to prepare a gourmet picnic lunch for you to take on your day's adventure or to eat in our diningroom or on the patio.

Lunches can be packed up to go or served to you in our dining room or on the deck.  Lunch is made up of a sandwich on artisan bread, a panini or wrap with either soup or salad.  Picnic lunches will have baked goods and bottled water tucked into them.  If you are eating in, there is coffee, tea, and beverages along with baked goods available in the common area. Lunch is priced at $18/person.

To ensure your lunch is perfect, we require 24 hours notice.

Where to dine

Start your morning with coffee and fresh made pastries on the front porch while you wait for breakfast to be served.  With a little luck the deer and rabbit families that have adopted us will make an appearance.  Between mid May and the end of August, the dragon flies will delight you with their daring aero feats.

Our dining room is part of the open common room.  In the morning the sun shines brightly through the windows making it a great place to wake up and be fed.   If the weather is pleasant, you can opt to sit on the deck and enjoy the fresh clean air scented with pine and the ocean while you listen to the wind chimes.
